Life at Christ Church
At Christ Church, we believe faith is lived out in community. We offer several ways to connect, some held right here within our local church family and others shared with our wider family at Freedom Church Hereford.
Our Local Communities
Community Groups
The heart of our church is found in our homes. On the first and third Wednesday of every month, we meet in small groups across the county. These are informal spaces to catch up, over refreshments or a meal, talk about life, and support one another as a local Christ Church family. If you’d like to find a group near you, we’d love to connect you.
Alpha
Alpha is a series of relaxed conversations hosted by Christ Church that explore the basics of the Christian faith. It is an open, friendly environment where no question is too big or too small. No matter your background or what you believe, you are invited to join us for our next course starting soon.
Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer for our church and our county. We meet online to pray together every Monday evening, from 7.30pm to around 8.15pm. Get in touch if you would like to join us.
Shared Communities
We partner with Freedom Church Hereford for these larger gatherings, bringing people together from across the city and county.
Men's Ministry: Barbarians
Barbarians is our monthly gathering for men. Our goal is to grow in our devotion to God and build a loving and loyal brotherhood. These are nights of passionate prayer and life-shaping messages, aimed at raising men who lead with love and integrity as sons, brothers, and fathers.
When: Second Wednesday of every month

Women's Ministry: SHE
SHE is our monthly gathering for women, a place where everyone is accepted as a sister and a daughter. We are here to champion one another in our God-given dreams and to be a light in our homes and communities. In 2026 our theme is ‘She Releases’.
When: Last Wednesday of every month
Where: The Studio, 100 Commercial Road, Hereford.
Youth: Zeal
Zeal is for young people aged 11–16, living all across Herefordshire. It’s a space for teenagers to find great friendships, encourage one another, and grow in a bold Christian faith. Young people from Christ Church, Freedom Church Hereford and from other church committees across the county all take part in Zeal, hosted and led by the team from Freedom Church Hereford.
When: Fridays, 7–9pm, during term time
