Giving
We're committed to being generous at Christ Church. Everything we do is made possible by the generosity of our church family. Because we have received so much, we also love to give: we support a range of charitable causes here in Herefordshire and around the world.

Thank you for supporting the life and work of Christ Church. You can give in any of these ways.

We will never contact you to say our bank details have changed. If you receive a message like this, or you’re unsure about anything, please speak to our finance manager at finance@herefordshire.church.
Charities and organisations we support
Giving beyond our own walls is an important part of church life at Christ Church. For 2026–2027 we are supporting four organisations with ongoing financial gifts and regular prayer. Church members nominated all four, and between them they reach from here in Herefordshire to the wider world. We’d love you to join us in praying for them.
We Are Farming Minds
Herefordshire farmers Sam and Emily Stables founded We Are Farming Minds in 2020 to tackle mental ill-health and loneliness in the farming community. The charity runs a 24-hour helpline staffed by trained volunteers, a befriending service, and funding for professional counselling. It also holds free social events that bring isolated farmers and their families together. Its goal is to break the stigma around mental health and help people ask for support before they reach crisis point.
Growing Local, Hereford
Growing Local is a Herefordshire community interest company that helps people grow, cook and eat fresh, local fruit and vegetables. It works with schools, families and local growers. Its work includes seed-growing kits for children, recipe boxes for families in need, and Grow and Cook sessions for adults looking for work. Its next big project is a community market garden on the edge of Hereford, which will give up to 200 families the chance to grow their own food close to home.
Prison Fellowship’s Angel Tree project
Angel Tree helps parents in prison stay connected with their children at Christmas. Each parent chooses a gift and writes a personal message. Volunteers then buy, wrap and deliver the present on their behalf. Each gift reassures a child that they are loved and remembered, and helps keep families together through a hard time. This project was selected for funding as the children of Christ Church asked that we fund Christmas presents for children who might not otherwise receive them.
Kościół ODE, Kraków
Kościół ODE is a new Christian community being planted in Kraków, Poland, with a public launch planned for March 2027. It aims to reach young adults who are facing loneliness, burnout, anxiety or disillusionment with religion. It hopes to be a church where people find belonging and can be honest about their struggles. The team already meets every week to pray for the city, and our support comes at an exciting stage as they prepare to launch.
